Sometimes its just all about one kid

This past week I worked on things my oldest GD wanted. It was all about her this weekend. She had ask for a vest just like the one I had worn in the 70s. I still had the pattern.  I looked at the notes I had made , and  it was a nice step back. The little granny poncho thing is somewhere on the web. I just had a small picture of one and winged it. She loved both. Now on to being just about the other 4 lol.

I need to be up and about this week.  I let things pile up to crochet my little heart out.  Fun week...messy house. Still meeting myself coming back, but glad I took some down time this week.

Fall is in the air.The acorns and leaves are flying. Our old cats are acting like kittens chasing leaves...its  cute.

Sharing a Few Things

   Life is complicated now, but lovely. Nan is slipping, but still our precious nan-nan.  I do still knit and crochet I just never take pictures or blog...never the time anymore. Many items have left here and I never even thought about taking a picture. the blue baby sweater is for charity ..love the buttons. It is my yarny days. com pattern. The Whisker and Wool guitar scarf was done with lighter yarn and a F hook to make it smaller for my 7 year old grandson that really plays the guitar. The stories I could tell you. He stayed with me for  month this summer...it was wonderful.

I love my dears still, and ask God to bless anyone that stumbles by here. hugs

Wedding

        This was with my crummy camera, but you get the picture, lovely wedding. All my babies are now married.  They are on their honeymoon, and having the time of their life.
        Busy does not even come close to my life now.  I am thinking this Fall I will be back to my crafts. Moms house is about ready to be put up for sale.  We redid the floors and painted inside and out. Her floors were the short red oak SO beautiful. I almost can't sell it.
       We are all coping. Daddy was such a part of all of us.  Ky. mom is here  so now got the girls. Like grandpa said, "life is just what you make it all depends on how you take it. Yes indeedy.  We are taking it with joy.
       Going to St. Louis the next 2 days. Stay at home Mimi is now on the road again. Could write a book on the past few months, but no time. Hope to get it all together before long. I am dreaming of projects.

Just an update no pictures yet

   Everything here is going as well as it can. We all have discovered dad was the brains behind our whole operation. We just ache for him.

    We are getting new doors and I am so excited.  My dishwasher gave it up and I bought a new one if a dishwasher could be divine, it is.  We are staying busy with yard work and a huge garden. I planted a new rose bush its a strange color all I can say is its kind of pink. We have the kids and grand kids almost every weekend.  5 grand kids now. My DD gets married in June so you never know....smiles.

    I have just brought a pattern from the Lovely Crow.  It is a little cardigan.  My DIL  has a friend that is so sweet to her and gave her a very special gift.  The gifter has a small daughter, and loves anything made by hand. I am going to make the cardigan for her little girl.

    I have been knitting on a scarf for what seems like several years. It will be my pick up work.  I am going to baste my son's quilt for quilting in may. Fuzzy flip flops are on going with 3 little girls in my life....2 pair today.

    You can see we are getting along. I meant to post project pictures, but it is to dark to take pictures. The storms are coming.  I love the rain, but to cold to sit out under the patio and watch it.

    My dears thanks for your outpouring of love. I pray all that called my name in prayer will be blessed without measure.

Half way

I must thank everyone for their prayers.  I could feel the prayers, and that gave me the strength to do all I have had to do.  We lost our beloved dad the last of October then my favorite Aunt December 14th and WP.'s dad December 24th. We had to tell Kentucky mom on Christmas Day. Its been a heart rendering year.  Nan-Nan is doing as good as she can (65 years) I think it would be like loosing half your heart and brain. We miss him so much, but we are doing well.  Wp. and I really lost two dads within two months.

Nan , and Molly are with us now and we will have Kentucky mom some. Our life is different, but wonderful and I must say joyful even with the longing for dad.

I do still crochet and knit, but not like the old days. I have made many things I just have not took pictures of. I made the girls ear warmers for Christmas.

Also a little fun with the Viking hats that went over so big along with the hats and beards. I lost count how many I made.  The Viking hat is my youngest son's and I made a little one for my 5 year old grandson.

Well my dears, I am thinking I am half back. I will next time put links up. The yellow beard was my pattern. The rest are easy to find if you can't you all know where I am.. Hugs

Trying to be About God's business

  I am still here. Dad is not doing well and that reflex's on mom's well-being. We have had two trips to the ER here lately. We are making a go of this. Its just so hard to see your strong handsome dad fade away before your eyes. I would not wish it on anyone, but grateful so grateful I can be with him.

I do crochet at odd moments and there will be pictures at some point. I know I have let my dear friends down, but you know what we are walking through at the moment. Grandma use to tell me when things we bad, that I was walking through fire and God would put out the fire in his own time.

I wish for each that still peek in just the best of everything....and joy the kind you can't wait to share .. hugs to my dears.
